#80074 - WEOT: Precision rectifier for 50Hz. |
Dear Forum Members,
In my application I have to measure the RMS current flowing through a conductor the current wavform is 50Hz and thryistor chopped. I am using TL084 at present in my application with 1st op-Amp of TL084 being used as an unity gain Amplifier. The second opAmp in half wave recitification configuration. The third opamp is in unity inverting configuration. The second and third opAmp input is obtained from output of the first. The fourth op-amp input comes from the third invertor config opamp output and the fourth is also in half wave rectification mode. The opAmp is powered with linear +12V -12V supply I am completely redesigning my circuit and want to have the following changes. 1. Replace the +12V and -12V linear supplies with some cheaper and less board space alternative. There is another thread addressing this issue. 2. Replace the two half wave rectifier stuff with a single full wave rectifier so I will need only one ADC channel for digitisation as against the two channels in existing circuit. In this thread I request forum members to guide me to some proven circuit that can suit my application. 500A in coductor -> 1:500/1:1000 CT -> Full wave rectifier -> ADC [ PCF 8594 ]. Please don't consider my thread as gimme code or gimme circuit type I have done sufficient work in full wave rectification direction I want to put those waveforms and circuit diagrams that I tried over here but I am unable to do so because my webspace sever is down. I will post them soon. Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
