#80336 - RE: Clamp Diodes for Output. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Kai,
If I am getting right you mean I should connect the AGND and DGND at one and only one point i.e. either at the supply input terminal or at ADC but not at both the places. and better to connect at ADC so that ADC wont see any PD in AGND and DGND pins. But if I connect the two GND planes at the ADC, and my supply connector is located towards the analog section. In that case don't you think all the digital ground currents will use the analog ground plane for flowing towards supply? Won't this entirely violate the principle of two different GND. I have seen some Analog Devices App Notes for ADE7731 Where in two supply connectors are provided each in Analog and Digital section and the two Gnd Planes are joined at the ADC with a approx 200mil wide track. In this case how is the supply given? If the two conectors are fed from same PSU wont that lead to GND loop? Thank you very much kai for your time that you are spending for me and your kind support.
