#80312 - RE: Clamp Diodes for Output. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Steve,
The magnitude of this is approx. -15mV. Do I need to use clamp diodes for ADC input protection? Don't you have to scale the O/P into the A/D anyway ? Thanks for your post. I am using PCF8591 ADC and this ADC can't handle -Ve Analog inputs. Whereas the output coming from the Precision full wave rectifier is going below ground close to -15mV. Thus I wan't to know should I put clamp diodes to save the ADC analog inputs from -ve going analog input coming from precision rectifier. Or -15mV is not a thing to worry? Scaling the O/P is a totally different stuff. It doesn't have anything to do with ADC input protection, does it? Thanks & Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
