Ok, this might work, when digital signal lines of ADC are very quiet. But if these lines are connected to a data bus of a microcontroller system, then good night! 'Traffic' on data bus would result in an enormeous level of digital ground return currents running across analog ground plane! I'm totally shure, that this will heaviliy degrade precision of ADC...
