Thanks for your reply, Star point grounding! Because the remaining ground loops will not have any effect on your board. Remember no ground loop currents are flowing across your board anymore with star point grounding. So there's no bad effect of remaining ground loops! Should I draw the following conclusion from the discussion. 1. Gnd Loop can't be eliminated by using two separate supplies fed by diffrent transformer winding or different transformers. Since there exist the interwinding capacitance between the transformer windings which causes inter winding current to flow. 2. The only thing one can do is reduce the area of this loop by putting the two connectors close to the star ground point. And thus minimising the area of AGND affected due to noisy ground currents from DGND. ![]() -> I am posting this message again [ twice ] because my earlier message seemed to have buried in sarrounding posts.
