1970.1.1+2**n seconds will be a much more serious problem than Y2K... Check my math, but 2^n seconds is about 136 years, assuming n = 32. Right? So are you saying that in 136 years planes will fall from the sky and trains will jump their tracks and crash into them? ;) How come no one worried that their bank's non-compliant software would suddenly deposit 100 years worth of interest in their account on 1 January, 2000? ;) Are you saying it could happen in 102 more years? (1970 + 136 = 2106) ;) I can hope, can't I? (That it will happen, and that I'll still be here to try and keep it?) |
