#83469 - Series resistors and line matching Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Kai,
Well, apparently I did a very poor job of stating the original post. It was never my intention to start a dialog on a comprehensive treatise of high speed circuits. My objective was to look at what's going on in a high speed circuit, and to make the point that it is not the clock frequency that makes the signal high speed. And yes, I think this is a problem that many people think that if they're only using a 1 MHz clock they don't need to worry about high speed effects. If they use a decoder or latch that is designed to work with a 100 MHz system then they need to understand that they're going to have these issues. This was my (perhaps not very well executed) effort to make that point. But since you brought it up, how and why do the series resistors work? What is their effect on the circuit? |
