#90358 - RE:Why Guessing Responding to: ???'s previous message |
First off there is no reset button as mentioned earlier. But the reason for the guessing is this.
Among the 1200 or so machines that we have out in the field there have been very few instances of problems and the majority of these machines use either Intel 87C51 or Atmel AT89C52. Now if one of these customers requires a new processor or firmware upgrade and I send them an AT89S52 what should I expect? Better to know before hand to have them send back the board so I can modify the reset circuit. My layout of the RC is such that I can use a DS1812 easy enough and future revisions will include at least the 1812 or 1232. As far as board layout and ground planes, I plan on asking you for help with that a little later. Jon |
