It seems from the picture that the machine "sit on a bench" at the customer - so your testbench setup should be OK>
This beg the question: Is it random or certain customers i.e. do you have a customer where two machines have failed?. I would assume it is grounding dependent. A good test for grounding is DANGER! evacuate the building or do this after work (if the "ground" is bad, many places can become "hot") make sure no one is close to anything electrical in the building. Then connect a 60W light bulb between phase and ground and if that is not full brightness, the ground is bad. Erik |
