Dear Jon,
I would like to highlight a couple that can cause noise problems. 1. You need to connect your digital circuitary ground to your encousre. It should be connected at the same point where your Physical Earth connects the enclosure. This point becomes the star ground point of your circuit. 2. You connect the Physical Earth to the mounting screw of supply transformer. It apears there is paint layer under the transformer mounting Do you think this paint layer will allow electrical connection of enclosure and Physical Earth. * Your board doesnt contain a solid ground plane, A good ground plane helps a lot with noise problems. * If I have figured it right you run a 110V AC track nearly at the middle of your board. Its not a good practice to run such tracks with digital circuitary on either sides. Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
