Erik I have one customer, who has 9 machines, 3 of which they have problems with the control. LCD's blanking out and programs jumping around (firmware). He has moved these particular control boxes around to each of the other machines and the problems stay with the particular control. The only possible difference between all of these 9 machines is C52 vs S52. I have no way to verify this, but I do have the 3 troubled controls here and they all 3 have S52's. This company is many states away and the possiblity of me going to a Federal Correctional Facility to troubleshoot is pretty slim. Not to mention, I don't think I'd want to. They're not willing to take their working machines out of production to verify the S52 C52 assumption. At this point I'm going to return one control and just replace the S with a C and see what happens. If that flies they the next will go back with an S52 and reset supervisor. If that one doesn't work right then I guess I'll try a different derivative and sell of my stock of S52's Jon |
