Even though the manufacturers have not updated their app notes to reflect the change in technology... To me its quite baffling. Issuing errata or updating the data sheets is such a common thing. But guys like Philips or Atmel keep recomending the RC resets even in current day data sheets for MCU with Flash memory. Or is it like the situation where the company is keen to promote its product as a easy to apply one ? Have you seen the "Minimum Recomendations for the PC" on a Game CD that is loaded with Direct_X and 3-D graphics ? And have you tried running it on one such PC ? Its outright silly and you will stop gaming then and there. Maybe this RC reset stuff is one such childish attempt to make it look easy? Raghu |
