#116957 - the only one where that can be said Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have used Keil for years, never had a problem.
the only one where that can be said. Oh yes, I have problems with Keil, but no malfunctions. Keil, unquestionably has the most solid '51 compiler on the market, many like the IDE, I do not. Now, from my perspective, what will you rather have: a compiler you unconditionally believe (you fight a problem for, at least, a day before even checking if it could be a compiler bug) or a questionable compiler with a beautiful IDE?. Also the Keil editor (the one that is mandatory if you use the IDE) lack some of the important features you use once a year but that save you HOURS on those occasions. If you have a look at the Keil forum http://www.keil.com/discuss/ you will see many issues where a "compiler bug" is finally established as a "user bug". If, however, you look at e.g. Raisonance http://www.raisonance.com/Forum/pho...st.php?f=1 you see again and again "will be fixed in next release" Erik |
