You can always justify going with the number 1 player on the grounds that they didn't get to be number 1 by being rubbish. The large user community is also a selling point. I've had some problems with Keil, but they were supportive and got the problems sorted out for me in a reasonable time frame. I've been happy with IAR too.


I was thinking of starting a compiler bug thread (i.e. who has the fewest compiler bugs), but I'm not that bothered now. Compiler bugs are just so miserable :(.
