they gave me some code to play with and it was quite obvious when i tried to build a file that in some cases serious rewritting is going to be needed

the real kicker is that the tools that worked best with the code is for te Phillips XA chipset, which I don't think is being considered too much

they tell me it'll be my job to get the old code to work with the new compiler and document as many changes that need to be made as i can find. nothing i love more than somebody's else's code in a new language...
