I've worked with both Keil and IAR and haven't had problems with either. Never had call to ask for IAR support (it was a relatively simple project from a compiler standpoint), and have got responses from Keil promptly when I've had to ask them questions. First year of Keil support is included in the purchase price but must be renewed at a cost for subsequent years. Support entitles you to support directly through Keil and free access to any new versions that are released during the support period.
