#131627 - An 8051 on a DS board |
I have just finished my schematic and my PCB for my 8051 mini-computer, and printed each side of the PCB on its own transparency with a laser printer.
I'm at the point where I'm ready to expose and develop the board. I am proficient when it comes to single sided boards, but now, because I am doing a double sided board, I am seeking advice before I go ahead. Some people have mentioned the use of thin clear tape. But that could impair the exposing process. What I might do is drill alignment holes in the board BEFORE exposure and then align the transparencies to those holes. I also was thinking about doing one side completely (expose, develop, etch), while leaving the other side covered, but then again that could be a bad idea. as for exposure, how long can I leave an exposed board in incadescent (standard 40W) room light? AND, if my plans are stupid, can someone please explain to me the best way to make a double sided board without the use of tape? Please help Thanks. |
