#132128 - no 'advice' in my post Responding to: ???'s previous message |
just a fact.
I am not 'advicing' anyone to stay away from Atmel, just staing that I do. Now I could add some similar stories I had with Philips, Analog devices and Texas Instruments and then we can break into a passion of tears... I have had contacts with Atmel since then ('inherited' products) and found the attitude the same or worse. Has my 'relationship' with e.g. Philips been idyllic harmony? of course not, but the attitude has been "we will help you". None but Atmel have refused anything from me without, at least, verifying (or finding wrong) my information. Another example every 'complaint' I have had re the SILabs debugger have been responded to with either "we have reproduced" or "can you help us reproduce". Most of those issues have not been resolved, but, at least, they have been acknowledged, again the attitude at SILabs is totally different. Thus my problem with Atmel is not just what they did, but the general corporate attitude that permeates that company. Erik |
