He'll be out $25 in board material and supplies, and a couple days worth of time. Doing this via PCBPool would put him out almost $200, if not more, and the sum of the turnaround times will be a couple weeks. Though scorned and derided by professionals, it still has a place among homebrew and other shoestring R&D efforts. I hate MS Windows with a passion. As a professional software engineer, I find it offensive in several ways. I still use it once in a while, because it fills a need and sort of works in that niche. I suspect this offends your professional sense much in the same way Windows does mine. Rob |
