I am probably blind but I can't find any of the LPC9xx manuals mentioning reset OUTPUT - do you refer to LPC9xx?

I did not look and thus I stated " My guess is that since the recent Philips chips use reset as an OUTPUT"
1) I said "guess"
2) is said "recent Philips chips"

I see nothing wrong with leaving the search to the OP
