This is like curing the symptoms and not the disease!
If an external reset device and the pinch circuit MUST be added for the LPC9xxx to work reliably, then it becomes a less attractive alternative to similar PIC parts. The problem does not (I have protos, not production, without the above) exist if you have a "proper" power supply. The newer parts require more thought about the surrounding circuitry> Just as we have seen flash failures on other parts because of RC reset for virtually all flash chips without internal reset circuitry. The days of a RC reset and a Zener stabilizer are gone. Erik |
