I'd be afraid the customers won't like having specified a maximum or minimum VDD slew rate. In some applications, it might be difficult to obey either or both.

On the other hand, if you'd specify both maximum and minimum, both by startup and shutdown (i.e. 4 values), you might be well off with the simple RC reset... :-|
