Vidya is mentioning an important point, namely that the OP seems to have connected R and C of his reset circuit in the wrong way. Equally, whether a reset chip is better or not, the OP has made a mistake and Vidya has pointed this out. So, his answer wasn't wrong, but right!
Remember, the OP told us: Nimish said:
Reseting is very erratic and random. This confirmes the suspicion, that his reset circuit is entirely wrong because of a confusion of R and C. Would he have connected the parts in the proper way, then he hardly couldn't have observed the reseting as being "very erratic and random", could he? I also tried to point out this mistake: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=142668 but the OP wasn't inclined to show any reaction. Kai Previous RC connection were having generic connection. To move on I would like to describe the random and erratic behavior. what is erratic.? No power on reset.LCD hangs up,garbage caracters are found and some time lcd is blank. Now another interesting thing about it is that once the MCU is reset after several attempts(about 25 to 30 press..ooohh)it works well even if I manually reset it.this is what I think is random.when I switched to reset supervisor the same story repeats but with lesser tries and not garbage on LCD. |
