the 'B' shell is the same size as the DB-25, but DB-9 has only 9 pins populated. The typical PC com port is on a DE-9!
D is the shape. B is the shell size. The number indicates the number of populated pin positions The P or S indicates the gender, P being the plug, with the "male" pins. Shouldn't we use the correct nomenclature? RE |
