I guess you're right .
My circuit is on breadboard and perhaps I applied +5v from
an unstable power supply by eliminating 7805 .
I cannot remember this well because of alternating changes to
power of the circuit .(unfortunately breadborad help me to make changes simply!)

I guess the power supply is the problem .
In addition I did'nt shield the case of DB9 .
Is it important ?
