#49984 - RE: Short Timing delays Responding to: ???'s previous message |
dear raghu,
i can not under stand how Propogattion delay will help you the alter the timing cycles. IF a delay is added externally to some signal without knowledge of MCU the there will be a problem for sure. Mr. Kararas idea of slower clock speed will do the job. but slowing down other things too. INspired from this idea i see a solution as follows: 1.this uses an external clock for mcu and a frequency divider. which has a enable/disable control. enabling the divider will output 1/N the frequency of MCU clock. disabling it returns to normal frequency. Its just like turbo buton on old PCs. 2. Enable input of frequency divider will be connected to a port i/o line. normaly MCU executes at full speed. when ever you want to access a slower device , you may enable the divider slowing down the MCU as per need and disable it afterwards. is it possible. abhishek |
