#49993 - RE: Short Timing delays- Erik Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hello Erik,
You are right. The delay lines are THE solution for my problem. Following Mike's link, in his posting ( 3rd from top) I downloaded the DS1010 data sheet. And thats it - I was amazed at the product - in each chip you can get delays in 10 steps and there are so many combinations. Simply superb. When it comes to deterministic delays in the nanosecond category, I dont think anything else can come close to this. Great. And Abhishek, your idea of varying the clock the way you described, must be a designer's nightmare. Maybe it is an idea for One off, used-by-me-only, and non-critical stuff and something to satisfy the person who did it. Dont think I am discouraging you, but solutions for the industry where "anything that CAN go wrong, WILL go wrong " cannot be in this fashion. Raghu |
