The gates could be controlled by one I/O pin on the processor. You would set the clock slow, perform the read, then speed it up again for the rest of the program.
every 'externally controlled variable clock' scheme I have heard of has failed. This very idea was discussed higher up in the thread. A few derivatives (noteably Cygnal) has internally controlled variable clock which, of course, will work. Erik |
