Despite all of the great suggestions given here, the solution is quite simple: Dallas (and perhaps others, like Philips) produce chips with the capability of changing the XMEM I/O timing to up to 10 machine cycles. Dallas/Maxim parts are the 8XC320, the 89C420, and the 8XC500 series devices. just looked up the 89C420 for grins and it can accommodate up to 10 machine cycles of stretch. This is introduced on page 23 of the 89C420 data sheet. I think it's what you're looking for. |
