It maybe that changing to a high level language may well increase YOUR output, since you have served a fine apprenticeship in assembler, and know your way round the hardware, the pre-requisite for good embedded programming on any flavour of hardware or software
'C' is NOT the only HLL available for the 8052 however, and if you are more comfortable with less terse looking languages then there are a couple of Pascal compilers, BASIC and Modula2, as well as Forth available. Steve |
