#82838 - C and other HLLs Responding to: ???'s previous message |
'C' is NOT the only HLL available for the 8052 however, and if you are more comfortable with less terse looking languages then there are a couple of Pascal compilers, BASIC and Modula2, as well as Forth available.
The above is very try; however, C is the most universally marketable skill. There are, of course, shops working in the other languages and - maybe - a thing like '51 Pascal will make you the only candidate available for a given job. Another reason for choosing C is that all tools are geared towards C, I have yet to see an ICE that mantion in the documentation that you can step through BASIC source. This does in no way say that C is "the best", just that is "the common". Sorry, Steve Have fun, Erik |
