No. The main problem is the lack of any significant stack space. This is why Keil et al (and PL/M before it) have to do all that messing about with overlaying, resulting in inherently non-reentrant functions.


...a the risk of sounding like a broken record, might I point out that the 8052 architecture fits Pascal rather better than 'C', specifically because it isn't stack orientated, and one can pass by Wirth or by reference...
