"if anyone has any tips" Remember that 'C' abstracts you one level from the (not special function) registers. Instead of trying to translate what you would have done in assembler into 'C' you need to try and think 'C' style. If you catch yourself thinking 'but how do I get this value into the accumulator' or 'how do I load DPTR' you're missing the point. Go for it, you'll love it. Eventually. |
