Didn't know they had ever driven on the left !
They did till some time in the 60's. The reason they changed was that too may Swedes got killed when touristing in Europe and too many European tourists got killed in Sweden. I arrived in Stockholm the day after they changed, the speed limit that day was something like 10 kph and the airport is ~40 km outside the city :( They did it gradually, had the trucks change two weeks before the cars :) Someone should tell the Japanese then. It seems that the left hand traffic is now restricted to islands. Erik |
