There are actually a familly of programs that allow rollback and versionning
CVS and SVN(sub version)
Use them, abuse them, never do something without them.
Ifyou are more than one on a project the previousline should be repeated 100^n times where n is the number of co-worker.(This could be easily done when every worker say it 100 times to every other)
