#97040 - Yes. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It's common to see manpages of Unixes to contain a section "KNOWN BUGS". Most of open-source programs contain "TODO" section. Just see bugzilla.mozilla.org for all the bugs in everyone's favourite. Look at changelogs of kernel.org - about 50% are bugfixes. It's only the annoying habit of proprietary software vendors to sweep all the known problems under the carpet and acknowledge them only after the customer crashed into them headfirst. Bugs are inevitable and a common daily routine of programmers.
By the way, did you read the Microsoft EULA? If they were sure there's no bugs would they shout in caps NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE ? They just admit it indirectly. |
