#96779 - testing Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What is or is not a proper design procedure and how formal verification should work and why there is no absolute perfection on Earth - well that is an question for you who are more knowledgeable than me.
But I believe, simply, that testing is good. Maybe not good enough, but should not be avoided on assumption of perfect design. My idea of testing is to overload. Throw the most of wildly varying inputs on the system. Flood it by data. Try extreme power conditions. Excercise EM noise. Be hard. Most of the bugs will show off under pressure. Jan Waclawek |
