Where do you have even a grain of knowledge on that subject ???
Well, the pros like you do what you do for two unseparable purposes. 1) earn money, 2) satisfy customers. We, amateurs, happen to tend to be your customers. We are ready to spend our money if we are satisfied (or if you manage to cheat us into spending them, but that's a rather short-sighted strategy) so it's in best interest on both sides to get the customer satisfied. One of few things that ultimately p.o. me beyond any level considered cultural or healthy are commercial programs that fall short of what they promise. From my experience and knowledge, I'm not alone in this kind of feelings - and this is the knowledge that allows me to advise you, pro, not to release anything that is less than the customers require, to admit to all shortcomings so we (customers) don't expect more than you offer, to provide a tool we need, for a price we are ready to pay and not a device with a kitchen sink guaranteed to operate in atmosphere of any of moons of Jupiter, for more than Earth weights, in gold, and to do it within some reasonable time. I know often customers don't quite know what they want, or can't explain it, or just want unrealistic stuff. But the above - satisfactory quality, reasonable price, acceptable time - all conflicting with each other - are what you can take for granted that all customers expect and that should be ballanced. And just as one doesn't need to be genetic engineering expert to plow a field and sow grain, I don't have to be a pro to say "don't release if it's not good enough." |
