#77839 - Target audience and features Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I s'pose it depends on the target audience? Target audience for the SBC is definitely beginners, hobbyists, and students that are trying to learn the 8052. There are already more than enough professional SBCs with a full range of features and prices. What I'm looking to do here is put together a design that is easy to build with easily accesible parts, preferably not too expensive, and has a number of features/devices that should be covered in material consistent with the type of tutorials that are already online. I definitely plan on covering memory-mapped access to a 44780 LCD (16x2 I believe), reading a keypad with debounce (haven't decided whether direct connect to the pins or via memory map), an I2C device (probably a DS1337 RTC but open to other suggestions) and hopefully an SPI device. Any other suggestions on topics that ought to be covered? Regards, Craig Steiner |
