It will cost you 2 ports. for that reason I would not. A "no external memory" configuration usually has enough pins to handle all I/O you need. True, but I was definitely planning on including external RAM so the 2 ports are going to be used there anyway. At least assuming the application running on the SBC uses external RAM.
