*A 40 pin dip derivate (easier to solder in many times)
*External RAM and ROM as Craig says for experimenting and doubts fixing I also like the idea of external ROM because if, for some reason, the Atmel part isn't available to the user any pin-compatible 8052 could be used instead regardless of whether or not it has on-chip code memory. Personaly i prefer the "Uart ISP" than the "Paralell portISP" Many computers (including mine!) don't have serial ports anymore so this would make it difficult for some people to use ISP.
