Hi Craig and all Forum Members,
How about giving the functionality of a PCAT/PS2 Keyboard. All you need to do is put up a socket for PS2/PCAT-Keyboard Connector, and a few resistors/diodes; and one dedicated Interrupt pin. Rest is just software.

In Fact, I when I finish my current project, I would be posting an Application Note for PCAT Keyboard (for MCS51 Family) with its software on this forum. I think I owe this one to this forum.
