Is it just me, or does it seem like there hasn't been much new work in 8051 C compiler development? I decided not to renew my support for Keil, mainly because I see that the updates are more stuff for uVision IDE and for the simulator (which I didn't license in the first place), rather than for the core compiler/assembler/linker tools. Support for new 8051 devices is easily added by creating a header file and maybe editing the database that tells the compiler what resources are available on a specific chip. The compiler itself should be rather stable after all these years!
