1) I get halfway logged out i.e. no need to enter user name but password required.
2) all entries in a thread are marked new
3) mark all entries read does not remove red flags
4) reading last post in a thread does not remove red flags

a note to above

since the logout was not my doing I did do some reading without knowing I were logged out.
