why Keil should be used as source of chips` database?
because the Keil database is the only one (AFAIK) that is that comprehensive and allow you to search once for all manufacturers products.

If we talk about links then maybe is it better to provide links to vendors sites and their databases
That is nice, but, as an example, if you search Atmel first, will you check Philips if Atmel has a chip you can use? You may, by searching manufacturers "catalogs", miss a far better/cheaper choice.
