I'm logged on and not listed as a regstered user at the top of the page, I do not care, just thought you would want to know.


Actually you are immediately added to the list (on the server) and will immediately be visible to anyone who logs on at that point. But your own copy of the list is only updated every 5 minutes. So it is possible that you will not initially see yourself and other users might not see you for 0-5 minutes (until their copy of the list is reloaded).

This was done in the name of efficiency since the exact list of who's online is approximate anyway (someone might not be here anymore but their name will hang around for 15 minutes before the server concludes they've left).
