#81402 - Maximum thread age revival Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Something else I forgot to mention...
Threads can only be revived for 60 days. That means if a thread has not had a new post for 61 days you will no longer be able to reply to that post. I did a search of the message database and found very few instances where an ancient thread was revived and that such revival served any useful purpose. On the other hand I found many examples of 3-year old threads being revived to post messages like "I need that code too, could you send it to me?" If the 60-day limit needs to be shortened or lengthened we can certainly move that number around in the future. But it seemed like a good number to use initially.
