I would like an enhanced PCA that has a true 16-bit wide match comparator on each channel so that there can be a really good variable frequency and high resolution PWM capability. I work on products that have to generate PWM signalling outputs that must occur at a specific frequency and not the default 16-bit full count rollover one gets with the PCA. This will also require the PCA main counter/timer register to have a full 16-bit wide auto re-load capability so that the PCA counting period can be programmable at say 1000 clocks or 4000 clocks and not the default modes of PCA PWM where the period is limited to 256 clocks or 65536 clocks.
