This may be true. However, if you have a significant amount of legacy 8051 code (or even 8051 libraries) you can link it AS IS WITH NO CHANGES into a 251 program. This is what's so attractive about the 251. If you are switching architectures, then I would probably only look at 16 or 23-bit architectures with multiple vendors. Jon |
