Thats just like what I was thinking, except I want to use the fewest number of buffers (74xx245's).

Also, the reason why I am so picky about my setup is that I want to use only one voltage supply of 5V. I do not want to use 12V yet, and if I decide to make a portable system on batteries, 12V would make the unit heavier.

My EEPROM and RAM can be written by enabling the WR pin. There is no Vpp pin.

So, they can work with 5V.
